Omission of the time die of postmark

Following a review on the use of time die in datestamping the mail items, Hongkong Post has decided to cancel the time die of postmark used for cancelling ordinary mails posted at posting boxes as from 31 March 2003 (Monday).

However, the current postmark bearing 1200 noon or 1700 hours time dies used for cancelling the airmail items posted at the posting boxes of General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Kowloon Central Post Office and International Mail Centre Post Office as according to the stipulated latest times of posting would remain unchanged.
