A set of special stamps on Miniature Landscapes featuring four different styles of Lingnan miniature landscapes will be issued on 17 July 2003 (Thursday). The four different styles of Lingnan miniature landscapes depicted are : Semi-cascade (Fukien Tea) [$1.40], Informal Upright (Hedge Sageretia) [$2.40], Cascade (Fire-thorn) [$3.00] and Root on Rock (Chinese Hackberry) [$5.00].

The stamps will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office from 26 June 2003. Official first day covers at HK$1 each will be put on sale at all post offices on the same day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided souvenir covers will be accepted at all post offices from 26 June to 2 July 2003.

All post offices will open on 17 July 2003 as per normal opening hours to provide a full range of counter services. Hand-back service will be provided at all post offices on 17 July 2003 for official and privately-made covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address. A special postmark will be introduced and available for hand-back service at all post offices. The "GPO-1" postmark, "Philatelic Bureau" pictorial postmark and the philatelic office pictorial postmarks will also be available for hand-back service at all philatelic offices. The public hall of the Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau on 1/F., Trade Square, 681 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, will also open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for datestamping covers with the "Philatelic Bureau" pictorial postmark, the "GPO-1" postmark as well as the special postmark.
