2004 Local Standing Order Service
Advance ordering for 2004 stamp issues will be accepted with effect
from 5 September 2003 (Friday) through the 2004 Local Standing
Order Service (2004 LSOS).
Customers may obtain 2004 LSOS application form and service guide
at all post offices from 5 September 2003 onwards and at the Commercial
Press bookstores during 5 and 30 September 2003. Applicants can
return the completed application forms at any post office (except
Mobile Post Offices), by post to Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau
or through on-line application at Hongkong Post Stamps' web site:
http://www.hongkongpoststamps.com.
The minimum order amount for each account is HK$50. However, there
is no limit on order quantity (except for a few products of limited
edition) during the incentive period of 2004 LSOS from 5 to 30 September
2003.

Early Bird's Bonus Scheme
- Customers returning their applications during the incentive
period of 2004 LSOS will be entitled for free gifts according
to their spending levels on a multi-layer basis. The incentive

Young Collector's Bonus Scheme
- Young customers born in or after 1985 with a minimum spending
of HK$100 on 2004 stamp products during the incentive period of
2004 LSOS will receive a First Day Cover Album, featuring with
cartoon image of Miss Kelly CHEN, Hongkong Post's Philatelic Ambassador.
- The young applicants' parent or guardian (aged over 18) will
have to sign to endorse the application.
Thank You Perk
- In appreciation of customers' continuous patronage, those who
have registered with our LSOS between 1 January 1998 and 4 September
2003 and with a minimum order of HK$50 for 2004 stamp products
during the incentive period of 2004 LSOS will receive a set of
20 Red Packets with "Year of the Monkey" stamp visuals.
Collection of Gifts
- The Lunar New Year Series No.6 (Year of the Monkey) Souvenir
Card will be sent to LSOS customers with the acknowledgment letter
from September 2003 onwards. Other incentive gifts for the "Early
Bird's Bonus Scheme", "Young Collector's Bonus Scheme"
and "Thank You Perk" will be mailed or be available
for collection with the "Year of the Monkey" special
stamp issue by account holders as appropriate on 4 January 2004.
Customers who are eligible to receive the "Year of the Monkey
Stamp Metallic Impression" will be informed by post or via
e-mail in early 2005.
Service and Stamp Product Enhancement
- Other than ordering stamp sheets in a complete set with all
denominations, stamp sheets in individual denominations can be
ordered separately starting from 2004.
- The stamp sheetlet will have a new stamp design at face value
of HK$5. Only the set of mint stamps without the $5 stamp sheetlet
stamp will be incorporated in the souvenir sheet. However, the
presentation pack will contain a set of mint stamps and the stamp
sheetlet to provide a full collection of the new issue.
- Postage Prepaid Picture Card will have a new design. Space will
be provided on the picture side for affixing the stamp depicted
in the picture. Both the preprinted postage insignia and the affixed
stamp are cancelled with the desired datestamp to form a Maximum
Card.
