HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo Tourism Series No.2 : Green Hong Kong

To commemorate HONG KONG 2004 Stamp Expo, a series of 6 stamp sheetlets
will be issued as a run-up to and during the Expo period. Each sheetlet
depicts a different facet of the Expo theme - "Tourism".
The second stamp sheetlet "Green Hong Kong" will be released
on 14 October 2003 (Tuesday) at HK$10 each.
"Tourism Series No. 2: Green Hong Kong" stamp sheetlet
has several special features. While the varied illustrations highlight
and enrich the theme on Hong Kong's greenery, the sheetlet also
incorporates a new $10 stamp which forms part of the sheetlet design.
Furthermore, the illustration at the top right hand corner is an
innovative way to provide a preview of the next new stamp in this
series.

The stamp sheetlet and the presentation pack will be displayed
at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan
Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office from 23 September
2003. Official first day covers at HK$1 each will be put on
sale at all post offices on the same day. Advance orders for servicing
self-provided souvenir covers will be accepted at all post offices
from 23 to 29 September 2003.

All post offices will open as per normal opening hours on 14
October 2003 to provide a full range of counter services. Hand-back
service will be provided at all post offices for official and privately-made
covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address.
A special postmark and cachet will also be introduced to commemorate
the event. The special postmark will be available for hand-back
service at all post offices. Application of the cachet will be available
at all philatelic offices on 14 October 2003. The "GPO-1"
postmark, "Philatelic Bureau" pictorial postmark and the
philatelic office pictorial postmarks will also be available for
hand-back service at all philatelic offices. The public hall of
the Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau on 1/F., Trade Square, 681 Cheung
Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, will also open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
for datestamping covers with the "Philatelic Bureau" pictorial
postmark, the "GPO-1" postmark as well as the special
postmark and cachet.

first day of issue on 14 October 2003 and subsequent days until
