Joint Stamp Issue of Hongkong Post, China Post and Macau Post
on "The Successful Flight of China's First Manned Spacecraft"

To commemorate the successful flight of China's first manned
spacecraft, Hongkong Post, China Post and Macau Post jointly
issue a stamp booklet on 16 October 2003 (Thursday). Also, each
of the three postal administrations issues a set of two stamps
on the same day. This is the third joint stamp issue of the
three postal administrations.To give prominence to this exhilarating
event, reddish fluorescent ink is specially applied during printing
to make the stamps more attractive. This distinctive printing
effect can be seen under ultraviolet light. |

* Because of the short notice of this special issue, Hongkong Post
has not issued any special postmark for this stamp issue.

The above philatelic products have not been included in
the 2003 Local Standing Order Service (LSOS). Order forms
were separately sent on 16 October 2003 to subscribers of
Local Standing Order Service 2003 who have registered on or
before 15 October 2003. LSOS customers have two weeks to place
orders by 29 October 2003, counting from the issue date. The
collection date of successful LSOS orders will be on 30 December
2003.
Please note that these commemorative stamp products are with
limited supply. In case of over-subscription, Hongkong Post
reserves the right to allocate the stamp products by balloting
or any other ways. Hongkong Post will endeavor to allocate
the required stamp products (at least one mini-pane and one
stamp booklet) to each ordering account; nevertheless, the
final decision will depend on the actual order situation. |
