Reprovisioning of Yau Tong Post Office
A new Yau Tong Post Office located at Unit 14, G/F, Wing Tong House,
Yau Tong Estate, will open at 9:30 a.m. on 15 December
2003 (Monday). This office will replace the existing post office
at Unit 3, G/F, Ko Yuen House, Ko Kee Estate, Yau Tong, which will
close after business on 13 December 2003 (Saturday). The business
hours of the new office will be the same as that of the existing
one.
A HK$2 souvenir cover will be issued to commemorate the opening
of the new Yau Tong Post office. It will be put on sale at the General
Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office, Sha
Tin Central Post Office and Yau Tong Post Office from 8 to 15
December 2003.
A special hand-back service will be provided at the new Yau Tong
Post Office on 15 December 2003, whereby official and privately
made unregistered covers with full postage prepaid and bearing a
"First Day" indication and a local address will be accepted
and impressed with the normal post office datestamp at the counter
and handed back to customers. To provide greater convenience for
philatelists, the normal post office datestamp of the Yau Tong Post
Office will be reproduced for the provision of hand-back service
at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan
Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office on 15 December 2003.
No special stamp will be issued for the new post office opening.

ordered the "Datastamped Special Souvenir Cover - For Post
Office Openings and Reprovisionings", please note that
the souvenir covers of "Reprovisioning of Yau Tong Post
Office" and "Reprovisioning of Sau Mau Ping Post Office"
will be available for collection on 30 December 2003. |
