Hongkong Post Won the Certificate of Excellence in the 2004
Hong Kong Management Association Quality Award

Hongkong Post was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in the
2004 Hong Kong Management Association Quality Award. Being first
launched in 1991, the Award is reputed to be the "Oscar"
of quality management in Hong Kong. The Award adopts the judging
criteria of the American Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award,
with a reputation equivalent to the Japanese Deming Prize and the
European Quality Award. The seven judging categories provide a very
comprehensive framework for measuring performance excellence. Hongkong
Post is the first government department to win this award, which
is a testament of our achievement and commitment to quality and
performance excellence.

At the Award Presentation Ceremony, Dr The Hon David K P Li GBS
JP, Chairman and Chief Executive of HKMA, presented the HKMA Certificate
of Excellence to Mr. Allan CHIANG, Postmaster General.
