Postal Gallery
As from 1 March 2005 (Tuesday), Postal Gallery on the Ground
Floor of the General Post Office will feature a new series of exhibits.
The special exhibition will feature "Children Stamps - Andersen's
Fairy Tales". By courtesy of Chinese Art Papercutting Association,
this exhibition will display the artistic papercuttings of Lu Xue,
the eminent artist on Chinese Papercutting. The papercuttings on
display telling four stories written by the world's best-loved children's
storyteller, Hans Christian Andersen, are the ones depicted in our
coming special stamp issue - "Children Stamps - Andersen's
Fairy Tales".
Apart from viewing her masterpieces, please don't miss the chance
of seeing the stamps, philatelic products, and running sheets of
this stamp issue.
Besides, there is an exhibition showing an array of official souvenir
covers on opening / reprovisioning of post offices. The exhibits
will be changed monthly.
With effect from 1 March 2005, the currently in use "Hong
Kong Disneyland" cachets will also be withdrawn, while the
"Postal Gallery" cachet will remain available for application
at the Postal Gallery.
Please come and explore the interest of the philately world!
