Temporary Peak Post Office

A mobile post office will be stationed at the pedestrian area of Findlay Road, the Peak starting 11 April 2005 (Monday) to temporarily replace the existing Peak Post Office at Shop 302, Level 3, the Peak Tower, which will close after business on 9 April 2005 (Saturday).

The stationing of the mobile post office on Findlay Road is a temporary arrangement to maintain postal services for tourists and local residents at the Peak due to the imminent major renovation of the Peak Tower. The Peak Post Office will resume service at its existing location when the renovation of the Peak Tower is completed, tentatively in early 2006.

Apart from normal counter services, the PayThruPost services will be provided. However, EPS and Credit Card payment will not be accepted. For parcels and Speedpost acceptance, they will be limited to 20 kg only due to space constraints. The existing Group 4 level LTP will remain unchanged. A limited range of Postshop items and postal souvenir items will be available for sale. All postal stationery products issued by Hongkong Post will be sold except the Multipack M3 & M4 for 20 kg and 30 kg cartoon boxes. There will be no overseas philatelic items for sales.

The business hours will be as follows:

Monday to Friday : 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday : 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

To facilitate communication, a mobile telephone will be provided to this temporary office and the telephone number is 6051 1417. Neither philatelic product nor hand-back service will be provided on 9 April 2005 for this change of location of operating the service of the Peak Post Office.
