Renovation of Butterfly Post Office

To improve the office environment and to better serve customers, Hongkong Post temporarily relocated the Butterfly Post Office to Shop No. 118, G/F, Tip Ling House, Butterfly Estate, Tuen Mun to facilitate renovation work to be carried out. The Butterfly Post Office will be closed on 31 December 2005 (Saturday) and move back to its original address at Units 121-122, G/F, Tip Sum House, Butterfly Estate, Tuen Mun on 3 January 2006 (Tuesday) on completion of the renovation work.

A special hand-back service will be provided on 31 December 2005 (Saturday) and 3 January 2006 (Tuesday) at the Butterfly Post Office for date-stamping unregistered covers with full postage prepaid and bearing a local address. For the convenience of the philatelists, the normal office datestamp and philatelic office pictorial postmark of the Butterfly Post Office will be reproduced for hand-back service at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Sha Tin Central Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Tuen Mun Central Post Office on 3 January 2006 (Tuesday). No special stamp products will be issued for this event.
