Special Stamp Issue - "Children Stamps - Dress Bear Up"

Mint Stamps
Mint Stamps

With imagination and ingenuity, young artists made use of a wide spectrum of materials when participating in the well-received Children Stamps Design Competition - Dress Bear Up organised by Hongkong Post in 2004. To stimulate children's interest in stamp collection, a set of 6 stamps depicting the Grand Prize winning designs of "Children Stamps Design Competition - Dress Bear Up" held in 2004 will be issued on 30 March 2006 (Thursday).

The stamps, in denominations of $1.40, $1.80, $2.40, $2.50, $3 and $5, present six cuddlesome bears dressed up for fun.

$1.40 Mrs. Bear dresses in a dark-coloured Hakka costume matched with a draped cloth hat. Fish prints on her garment and an oar in her hand tell us she is going fishing.
$1.80 Miss Bear radiates happiness in her traditional Chinese wedding gown and phoenix crown embellished with pearl bead strands. The bridal procession is coming!
$2.40 With a bow upon her head, Sweetie Bear saunters merrily through the meadow in a pleated sundress, savouring her lollipop.
$2.50 Cutie Bear puts on her embroidered apron, tiger-faced hood and shoes, paired with a lovely handbag. Guess who she is going to visit?
$3 Smartly dressed in grey and black, Mr. Bear wears a striped sweater and a pair of long pants. His woollen hat surely keeps him warm in winter.
$5 Donning a bold golden headpiece, Sweetheart Bear becomes a tropical girl in her green and blue foliage full skirt.
