Croatian Philately Exhibition

Hongkong Post is pleased to announce the display of Croatian stamps from the Republic of Croatia from 10 to 24 June 2006 (excluding Sundays) at 1/F, Public Hall, General Post Office. The exhibits consist of 4 major topics, including "Europe and Croatia", "Joint Issues with Foreign Postal Authorities", "Sport" and "Croatian Heritage".

The history of philately in Croatia dates back as early as 1850. "…a stamp is an islet in the sea of history and geography to which it subscribes. Especially if history is reborn, with geography merely accommodating itself." Źeljka Čorak, Philately in Croatia.
