"Children Stamps - Paper Folding Fun Design Competition"

Hongkong Post will organize another territory-wide children stamps design competition. Participants are encouraged to stretch their imagination through paper folding this year and demonstrate their creative talent in art. Formerly, the competition opened to the primary school students only, this time two more divisions, Secondary School Division and Family Division, will be introduced.

All Hong Kong Special Administrative Region residents are welcomed to participate in the competition. Entries will be accepted at Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau during the period from 1 December 2006 to 5 January 2007. The themes for the Primary School, Secondary School and Family Divisions are Plants, Animals / Marine Life / Insects / Birds and Festive Activity / Display respectively.

A Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 5 Merit Awardees will be chosen from each division with plentiful prizes. Selective entries may be adopted in the design of Children Stamps to be issued in 2008. Each entry will also receive a serviced First Day Cover as a token of our appreciation for participants’ support. In addition, three schools with the most entries from each of the Primary and Secondary School Divisions will be honoured with the Active School Award as recognition.

Entry forms will be sent to all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong and will be available at all post offices starting from 1 December 2006. Photocopied forms will also be accepted.
