Stamp Issuing Programme for 2008 and Launch of 2008 Local Standing Order Service

(I) Stamp Issuing Programme for 2008

Ten special stamp issues and associated philatelic products are to be issued in 2008. The actual issue date and details of individual stamps will be announced closer to release.

(II) Launch of 2008 Local Standing Order Service

Advance ordering for 2008 stamp issues through the 2008 Local Standing Order Service (LSOS) will be accepted with effect from 8 September 2007. Various incentive programmes will be available for orders received between 8 and 30 September 2007.

Application Procedures

• Existing LSOS customers will receive invitation letters with Application Forms in early September 2007 to order 2008 new stamps products in advance.
• 2008 LSOS Application Form and Service Guide are available at all post offices from 8 September 2007 onwards.
• Customer can also apply online via StampOnNet at www.stamponnet.hongkongpost.com.
• Applicants can return the completed Application Forms at any post office (except Mobile Post Offices), or by post to Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau.

Incentive Programme for Orders Placed on or before 30 September 2007

Early Bird's Bonus Scheme

Customers with a minimum order amount of HK$50 who return their applications on or before 30 September 2007 will be given a Lunar New Year Series No. 10 (Year of the Rat) Souvenir Card as a free gift and are entitled to the Early Bird's Bonus Scheme.

Features of the scheme are: -

1. Every dollar spent for ordering 2008 LSOS stamps products during the incentive period of 2008 LSOS Programme (8 to 30 September 2007) is entitled to 1 bonus point.
2. Customers are eligible to select their favourite incentive gifts and redeemed with required bonus points.
3. All unused bonus points can be accumulated and are valid until 31 August 2010.
4. The incentive gifts with bonus point required and collection/delivery schedule are as follows: -

Young Collector's Bonus Scheme

Young customers who were born in or after 1989, with a minimum spending of HK$100 on 2008 stamp products during the incentive period, will receive a "Rat-shaped Pen Stand". For a successful enrolment, the young applicant's parent or guardian (who must be aged over 18) should acknowledge the application by signing and providing details on the Application Form. This Pen Stand will be delivered or will be available for collection with the “Hong Kong Flowers” special stamp issue in March 2008.

To thank our customers for their continuous support, 2007 LSOS members who have renewed their membership with a minimum spending of HK$50 on 2008 stamp products during the incentive period will receive Year of the Rat Red Packets. This set of Red Packets will be delivered or will be available for collection with the "Year of the Rat" special stamp issue in January 2008.

Member-Get-Member Reward Scheme

• To encourage existing LSOS members to bring in new members, each member with a minimum spending of HK$50 or above and introduce a new member during the incentive period, will be rewarded with 100 extra bonus points. Each new member who spends HK$300 or above will be rewarded with 300 extra bonus points, in addition to the bonus points awarded according to every dollar spent for ordering 2008 LSOS stamp products.

Young Collector Retention Scheme

• To encourage those 2007 LSOS members turning 19 to renew as 2008 LSOS (adult) account members, 800 extra bonus points will be awarded to these members upon their renewal during the incentive period.

Online Ordering with StampOnNet Bonus Scheme

• In addition to the bonus points earned from ordering new stamps, customers will enjoy extra bonus points through online ordering with StampOnNet Bonus Scheme (during the incentive period).
• 100 extra bonus points with an online order of HK$251 - HK$350
• 200 extra bonus points with an online order of HK$351 - HK$500
• 300 extra bonus points with an online order of HK$501 or above

2008 LSOS Roadshows

To promote the 2008 LSOS, Hongkong Post will organise roadshows at selected post offices and Shopping Malls. Please refer to the following schedules for details: -

• Customers who return the 2008 LSOS application forms with a spending of HK$50 or above for each account at the above venues will receive a special gift while stock lasts.
• Hand-back service will not be available at the roadshows and posting facility will not be provided at the 4 venues in the shopping malls.
