New Exhibits at Precious Collections Area and Re-opening of History Corner of the Postal Gallery

A fascinating new series of exhibits on "Olympic Games Stamps" will be displayed at the Precious Collections area of the Postal Gallery located on Ground Floor, General Post Office, starting from Wednesday 30 April 2008 until September 2008.  The exhibits will include special stamps on "Olympic Games" issued by Hongkong Post since 1992 and some of the "Olympic Games" philatelic products issued by China Post and Macao Post. As a preview of the new set of the "Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay (Hong Kong)" Heartwarming II Mini-pane and the "Beijing 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events" special stamps to be issued respectively on 2 May 2008 and 9 August 2008, the exhibition will also feature their running sheets and associated philatelic products.

After an upgrade in the exhibition facilities, the History Corner at the Postal Gallery will be re-opened in mid May 2008 with the release of another series of exhibits on postal history.
