| Olympics Games (The Handover) |
Issued jointly by Royal Mail and China Post, the Olympic Games Miniature Sheet features two stamps of ancient towers, together with two of modern iconic steel structures. From Beijing the astonishing mesh of steel of the National Stadium, known to many as the Bird's Nest, sits next to London's iconic London Eye, one of the UK's most striking attractions. Representing the past tradition of each country, further stamps show Beijing's Corner Tower of the Forbidden City - home to China's Emperors for five centuries - and another former Royal residence, the world famous Tower of London. |

| Classic Carry On and Hammer Films |
2008 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Carry On Film - Carry On Sergeant. Throughout the 1960s and 70s Carry On films were to form a staple diet of British cinema audiences, going on to influence future film and TV productions, both at home and abroad.
The six stamps will bring back memories of those more innocent times, where innuendo and irony provided a good night out. Royal Mail has captured six of the classic posters from the era. |
