Under such circumstances, there comes the ceremony of the "Opening of Kun Iam's Treasury" on January 26th of the Lunar Calendar. The ceremony is to announce the great mercy and compassion of the Bodhisattva Kun Sai Iam as well as its highest determination to save people from troubles and tragedies. Whenever the Opening of the Treasury ceremony took place, people would kneel down, showing their respect and donating certain "incense money". Finally, they would burn huge incense, hold it or put it on their vehicles. They would return home in a fortune and triumphant gesture and it was known as "bringing luck back home".
