"60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" Special Stamps

Hongkong Post is issuing a set of 6 stamps to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. This set of stamps is designed based on the selected entry in the Stamp Design Competition on this theme held by the Home Affairs Bureau, Radio Television Hong Kong, the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education and the Commission on Youth. This special stamp issue is already included in 2009 Local Standing Order Service. The details of the associated stamp products are as follow:

Souvenir Sheet

Theme of the stamps: $1.4 & $1.8 - Close Partnership of Hong Kong and the Mainland $2.4 & $2.5 - Building and development of China $3 & $5 - Economic and international status of China

Mint Stamp (a set of 6 stamps)

The selling price of the stamp sheetlet of this stamp issue (image on the right) is now set at HK$10 (containing two $5 stamps). The updated prices of the 3 stamp products containing the stamp sheetlet concerned are given as below: Stamp Product Updated Price Stamp Sheetlet (containing two $5 stamps) HK$10 Datestamped First Day Cover affixed with Stamp Sheetlet HK$13.5 Souvenir Pack (containing a Souvenir Sheet and a Stamp Sheetlet) HK$50 For customers who have placed their order for the above 3 stamp products, the difference in the money paid will be retained in their account for future purchases.

If you have not yet placed an order for this special stamp issue or would like to place additional orders, please complete the 2009 Local Standing Order Service order form and return it to the Philatelic Bureau by mail on or before 13 August 2009. The order forms can be obtained from the post offices. You could also logon to "Stamp OnNet" to place your order.

1. Hongkong Post reserves the right to change the issue date, selling price, issue name, designs, formats, order delivery date and method and order collection date of these products without prior notice.

If the stamp products are over-subscribed or your order is placed after the order deadline specified, Hongkong Post reserves the right to distribute the orders on a first-come-first-served basis, by balloting or any other ways as Hongkong Post may specify from time to time subject to the availability of the stamp products.
