Pilot Implementation of Using Postage Label for Posting Ordinary, Registered & Recorded Delivery Mails at Four Selected Post Offices

The use of postage label for posting ordinary, registered and recorded delivery mail items will be put on trial at four selected post offices including Cheung Sha Wan Post Office, King's Road Post Office, Fo Tan Post Office and Lee On Post Office with effect from 7 December 2009 (Monday).

This label printing function is applicable for the posting of ordinary, registered and recorded delivery items for both local addresses and overseas destinations. The postage labels are not for individual sales but solely to indicate postage paid for mails accepted over counter. Once the item has been accepted, the postage label will be datestamped simultaneously.

Remarks:

• The postage labels are printed by thermal printer with security features of having HKP logo and batch number under UV light.
