Hong Kong's Children Stamps
The hobby of stamp collecting is best developed from an early age.
In order to stimulate children's interest in stamp collecting,
Hongkong Post has issued children stamps, which are featuring children
as the theme since 2001. In the past, we have issued children stamps
of different themes such as Fairy Tales, games, toys, etc. The following
are series of children stamps we have issued before:
Children Stamps - The Ingenuous Artists
Issue Date: 18 November 2001

Children are encouraged to stretch their imagination and participation
in the making by colouring the stamps in the space left for the
purpose - a breakthrough in Hong Kong's stamp development
history. WE also scored another first in our Post history by producing
the set in children-friendly self-adhesive form.
Children Stamps - My Favourite Toys and Games
Issue Date: 7 April 2004

The joy of the games that children indulged in often lies in their
simplicity and their ingenuity. These games often utilise the elementary
tools, such as sticks, stones, or just bare hands and legs. Four
of these simple but enjoyable games that have engaged children through
the ages are depicted in this issue.
"Children Stamps - Andersen's Fairy Tales"
Special Stamps
Issue Date: 22 March 2005

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth, Hongkong Post
has released this set of Children Stamps, which is featuring four
popular stories from the Andersen collection. The stamps incorporate
Chinese paper-cutting into their design and are printed in monochrome,
lending an added feel for Andersen's era (19th Century).
"Children Stamps - Dress Bear Up" Special
Stamps
Issue Date: 30 March 2006

This fun and charming set takes you into a children's wonderland
featuring the six winning designs of the "Children Stamps
Design Competition - Dress Bear Up" held in December
2004. Hongkong Post inspires children's creativity and shows
their innocent bliss, encouraging their boundless imaginations to
transcend the rigid frame of stamps.
Children Stamps - Bunny Fun and Games
Issue Date: 22 March 2007

A fascinating combination of paper & pencil games and postage stamps, this issue is released to encourage children's interest in philately. The set comes in delightful colours to accentuate the freshness of spring and capture the essence of Easter joy. The stamps are attractive to look at and offer a great opportunity for children to explore, to play and to savour. The power of play in connecting parents and children cannot be overstated - you will build a rewarding lifelong bond out of playing together.
